  2. What inspires you to be part of Insurance Professionals and what prompted you to join?
The networking & education & professional development opportunities as well as the members who make this a wonderful organization to be a part of. I joined IAIP/VTAIP at the recommendation of my employer.
  3. Describe a memorable collaborative effort, such as a committee, task force, or program, where you worked effectively with others to achieve a common goal.
Vermont has had the opportunity to host & co-host three regional conferences during my time as a member, and I have been fortunate to serve on the conference committee for each of them. I find it incredibly inspiring and energizing to come together to provide members of our region with networking opportunities, professional development, FUN and memorable experiences that encourage members to continue engaging in all the benefits IAIP membership provides.
  4. What is one of the most memorable experiences you’ve had as a member, whether it was a meeting, a specific project, or a challenging situation you encountered?
My most memorable experience as a member was winning the 2020 International Professional Underwriter of the Year award. I was virtually attending the conference & although I would have preferred to receive the award in person, it remains one of the most cherished achievements in my 28-year insurance career.
  5. What is a good tip on how to share the benefits of membership with an employer?
Share your experiences with them, after every meeting, conference, class, or event. Tell them with your words and show them with your actions just how much you’re developing because of your IAIP involvement. Most importantly, THANK them, for their support of you and of IAIP.
  6. What Insurance Professionals programs have you taken that you would highly
    recommend to another member?

The leadership development and educational opportunities provided by IAIP have been
instrumental in building my confidence personally and professionally, which is one of the
main reasons I have remained an actively engaged member for 26 years.

    about?
I adore spending time with my family and love to cook and bake treats for them whenever I
have the chance. I value opportunities to travel and experience new places, embracing the
experience wherever I go. I really appreciate the outdoors, gardening, snowmobiling,
boating, or riding on the back of my partner Dan’s motorcycle are some of my favorite
    outdoor activities.
