This year’s convention brought the largest crowd in five years. With almost 250 registered attendees, all of the fellowship, fun, support, and participation was amazing. We are thankful for our sponsors, partners and volunteers that made this event possible, and for each and every one of you that joined us in Louisville this year. Congratulations to the NAIW Legacy Foundation for raising a total of $28,690 which includes the online auction ($1,800) and Gift Card Giving Tree ($1,485) fundraisers. And we again thanked the regions that reached their Shine for IAIP Capital Campaign 2.0 goal with a Kentucky Derby pie. This campaign raised a total of $45,160. And our generous members didn’t stop there – we raised $4,000 for our international community service project to benefit Norton Children’s Hospital.
The event began with a roar as members rocked on with Marvelless Mark, our inspiring keynote speaker who helped us get in touch with our inner rock star. We also enjoyed a welcome from our guest Insurance Commissioner Clark. The Ignite panelists shared with us an engaging state of the industry discussion. And every education session was overflowing with participants.
In our Membership Meeting, Geraldine Plott shared our successes, and Beth Chitnis shared the association’s state of the membership and financial performance. Be sure to join us for the June Town Hall to hear a recap the crowdsourcing results from Diane Martell. We encourage all members to share their thoughts and ideas that were discussed at the Membership Meeting – we want to hear from all our members! Links to membership surveys:
