First Timer at Region V Conference: A Memorable Experience of Growth and Connection

Attending my first Region V IAIP Conference was an unforgettable experience. As someone who has been to many conferences, I can confidently say this one stood out—not just for the knowledge I gained, but for the genuine connections I made and the fun I had along the way.

From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by passionate insurance professionals; people committed to growing, learning, and supporting one another. Whether retired or just starting out, everyone brought something valuable to the table. It was a powerful reminder that we all have something to learn from each other, regardless of where we are in our careers.

Just a few of the lessons and tips I brought home are:

  • There are so many resources out there for Insurance Professionals through IAIP
  • Be intentional about who you want to connect with and why. Always bring a gift, like a smile, a positive attitude, or some knowledge to share. 😊
  • The importance of communication and leadership that fosters openness and encourages innovation.

If you have never been to a Region V conference, I highly recommend it. You will walk away with more than just notes, you will gain a network, a renewed sense of purpose, and maybe even a few new friends.

I hope to see you at the next Region V conference, or even the IAIP Convention!
