When I joined IAIP over 19 years ago, I never imagined I’d one day serve on the Executive Committee. Yet here I am — and it has become one of the most rewarding and energizing chapters of my professional life. As International Secretary, you’re right at the center of IAIP’s leadership. You attend all Executive and Board meetings, capture the official record of our decisions, and help guide the conversations that move our association forward. At the International Convention, you are responsible for all announcements and updates to the schedule, ensuring the Convention runs smoothly.

One of the best parts of this role is the network you build. I love that I can reach out to IAIP members across the country — whether I need advice, support, or just want to swap stories. This position opens doors to connect with new people in our industry, learn what’s happening in different regions, and build genuine friendships along the way. In just six months, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how IAIP operates behind the scenes — the strategy, the collaboration, the commitment it takes to keep our association strong.
