IAIP Week is the week beginning the third Sunday in May each year—May 21 this year. Traditionally banquets, special luncheons and other activities are held by local associations to celebrate the accomplishments of the association and professionals in the industry. Is your local association hosting an event? Take plenty of pictures and share them on social media and the IAIP online community.
If you are a member-at-large—how do you plan to celebrate IAIP? Have you considered setting up a Zoom Zocial for your IAIP network?
If you do not have plans yet, please join Region V. We will be offering the I CAN! A Step Above course Inland Marine – Builder’s Risk on Tuesday, May 23 at 1:00 PM Eastern/ 12:00 PM Central/ 11:00 AM Mountain/ 10:00 AM Pacific. This course is one hour in length. All IAIP members are welcome to participate. This link will take you to event to register.
This I CAN! A Step Above course will assist you in gaining a basic understanding of builder’s risk coverage. Topics covered include how to name the insured, covered property, coverage extensions, covered causes of loss, when coverage ends and more. This course qualifies for IAIP Education hours for DAE and CIIP designations.
Region V’s education theme this year was Destination Designation—Your Path to CIIP and DAE. We were hoping to fill the gap for those wanting to secure/renew these designations and may not have the work, life, balance necessary to commit to a CLP designation.
We are so grateful for NAIW Legacy foundation who supported this endeavor. We submitted another grant application for the 2023-2024 year and will be offering six courses next year as we continue to help each other down this path.
Please consider celebrating with us next Tuesday—I would love to recognize and celebrate those in attendance who have the CIIP and DAE and those who have that goal on their horizon.
