The Importance of Designations

ACSR, CISR, CPCU, CIC, CRM, ARM, AINS, API: all are designations are available through state agencies and National Alliance. All require completion of courses to distinguish yourself in the insurance industry. 

But did you know, as part of your added membership benefits, IAIP offers the following designations?

CIIP: Certified Insurance Professional—to earn the CIIP you must meet the following criteria:
Be a current IAIP member and have been a member for at least three years. You must be employed in the industry for five years, complete 16 hours of IAIP education, and complete a non-association education program or designation.

DAE: Diversified Advance Education—to earn the DAE you must meet the following criteria:

Hold the CIIP designation for a minimum of three years, be a current, active member, and meet industry education and IAIP education, leadership, and participation standards. This designation must be renewed every five years.

CLP: Certified Leadership Professional—to earn the CLP you must meet the following criteria:

Successfully complete 17 courses and quizzes in the Certified Leadership Program. This designation must be renewed every two years. It can be earned by members and non-members alike.

CLP-A: Advanced Certified Leadership Professional—to earn the CLP-A you must meet the following criteria:

Hold an active CLP designation, and successfully complete 10 courses (six core and four elective) and quizzes. Courses can be completed at a live event (with a student guide) or by purchasing the On Demand course in our LMS. The CLP-A designation must be renewed every two years.

And introducing our newest designation:

ACR: Associate in Client Relations—to earn the ACR you must meet the following criteria:

Successfully complete all 13 courses and quizzes in the Associate in Client Relations program. Courses can be completed at a live event or (coming soon) as self-study (LMS/On demand).

By earning designations, you show your employer and clients that you are dedicated to continuous learning and career development. Your clients will gain confidence in you knowing that you have a greater knowledge of your product. You are challenged to add a new designation to your name in the coming year!
